Midland SACAT Legislation Implementation Workshops

 BOP SACAT

To ensure the Midland region is prepared and ready for the new Substance Addiction Compulsory Assessment Treatment Legislation Act commencing on the 21 February 2018 the Midland Regional Workforce Lead, Steve Neale and Regional Director, Eseta Nonu-Reid have begun rolling out a series of implementation workshops across the five DHB areas. Taranaki was the first off the rank with two workshops held on the 21 September and was well attended. Two workshops were held in Tauranga on the 04 October followed by one workshop in Taneatua on the 05 October.

The last three areas within Midland to receive the workshops are Lakes, Tairawhiti and Waikato - If you would like to access the flyer and register for the remaining workshops please click here...

Following the MoH / Matua Raḵi presentation (Hamilton on 15 August 2017), our workshops will follow a similar format, with a more bespoke approach to each area’s specific, local need.  The workshops run for 2 - 2.5 hours, and will be open to 15 - 25 attendees from across the MH&A sector.  If you would like more information about the National workshops click here

In order to be able to participate fully in the workshops, we recommend that people undertake the Matua Raḵi SAL e-learning module. This can be found at: https://www.matuaraki.org.nz/initiatives/introduction-to-the-substance-addiction-compulsory-assessment-and-treatment-act-2017/183
