Consumer Competency Framework Project

(COMPLETED)

The purpose of this project is to:

  1. Develop a service user and peer support competency framework
  2. Provide a Midland perspective to the Tri-party project with Te Pou, Northern Alliance and Midland Share Services
  3. Gain endorsement from the Midland DHBs to the developed framework
  4. Feed into the MoH Service Development plan strategies

Family Whãnau Competency Framework Project

(COMPLETED)

The purpose of this project is to:

  1. Develop a family whanau worker competency framework
  2. Provide a Midland perspective to the Mental Health Commission
  3. Gain endorsement from the Midland DHBs to the developed framework
  4. Feed into the MoH Service Development plan strategies

Infant & Maternal Stocktake of Secondary Services Project Phase I

(COMPLETED)

The purpose of this project is to undertake a stocktake of secondary Infant and Maternal mental health and addictions services across the region. The Ministry of Health Service Development Plan: Rising to the Challenge 2012 identifies Infant and Maternal as a priority going forward.

The objectives of the project are to:

  1. Identify how Healthy Beginnings are being implemented across the region
  2. Identify how we ensure that there are options to provide care that are clinically appropriate in a setting that does not require compulsory separation of mother and baby.
  3. Identify what the current local and regional care options are.

This project will be led by Roz Sorensen
