On the 21 August, the Midland Addictions Network held a mini conference at the Lakeside Novotel in Rotorua themed “Creative Futures for Addictions – Making it Happen”.

Peter Kennerley – Ministry of Health

Te Utuhina Manaakitanga Trust Youth Team

  • Presentation: Dynamic Energy

Paul Clifford, Rhonda Robertson, Jenny Boyle & Rina Crowther – Salvation Army

Peter France – Te Utuhina Manaakitanga Trust

David Benton, Michael Ann Benton & Marg Morunga – Hanmer Clinic, Tauranga

The Midland Region Addictions network would like to sincerely thank all the participants that made this day possible just by being there but more specific the Keynote Speakers who gave their time, knowledge and expertise to enhance those who are working in the Addictions sector - thank you again.

Evaluations were included with the conference packs to give feedback on the conference in general including the presentations, this will be made available once analysis has been completed.

The Midland Region MH&A team hope these conferences will be supported for the years to come to enable those working within the Midland region to network and share their experiences, knowledge and challenges that are occurring in this ever changing sector to encourage and support to benefit our communities.
